Meet at High School at 9am. Return around 3
Perfect for new Scouts. Get a taste of backpacking without the fully laden pack. We’ll carry our packs – filled with only food, backpacking stoves and cookware – into Durland. We’ll stop and cook a big lunch, maybe look for some geocaches, then turn around and hike back. Easy!
COST: $5 for food

An annual tradition! Due to the challenging nature of backpacking, this year’s trip is for older Scouts. We’ll be trekking along the Appalachian Trail near Bear Mountain into Harriman State Park. An amazing, rewarding experience!
